Did Skype Appoint The Wrong CEO?

I do not normally comment on the hiring and layoffs. I have always thought a little "arm chair" to do so, because unless you have worked with or for the person concerned, it's really hard to comment on their ability to perform their job functions. I am making an exception, however eBay Josh Silverman appointment as the new general manager of Skype.

Given their performance and the fact that many (private) have stated that many within eBay have no idea what to do with Skype, it is interesting to see that they elected to go with another inside information, instead of what in a seasoned executive communications. Mr. Silverman wish, but I see history repeating here. Find another new president within a year.
