As promised, Google today released android SDK software for developing mobile application. As I have said in my earlier posts, there are other vendors who support open mobile software platform. What’s interesting with android is its promise of being more open in every aspect of the software. Also described as “the first truly open and comprehensive platform for mobile devices”Some tit bits about the android SDK• SDK supported for mac,windows and Linux flavor(Linux Ubuntu Dapper Drake)•.

Check out this awesome video from surgery bin and Steve. I loved the maps part, it was mind blowing. What a coincidence, today I got a chance to play around with iPhone maps and here again I see this great map app with touch screen on android. Looks like Googles android has lot of promise for users and developers. Iam very excited about this platform and have decided to digg more on this.

Writing in the android Blog Developers, the developer Lawyer Nguyen Quang announced the extension of the deadline for submission of the first Android Developers Challenge of April 14, 2008. The people of android apparently had information to heart and made changes to the SDK to be issued within several weeks. In addition, a significant number of developers also have requested more time to refine their applications.

Gizmodo Those people have all the fun. Right now you are in Barcelona goes Ga-Ga over working demonstrations of a wide variety of prototype android. They had to say about this offer of ARM: ARM running on yours was one of their lower-end processors. Do not fancy graphics, multimedia style iPhone fizzbang not only a humble ARM9 processor in a plain white prototype "to demonstrate the scalability of Android" and act as a development platform.
