Need VoIP Service? No Need to Talk to a Sales Rep

At the beginning of last week, one of my favorite companies, the success of ultra-bandwidth. Com launched the first VoIP and price data engine that allows companies to buy Hosted VoIP, VoIP Business Lines and tubes all data without the need to speak with a sales representative. Electronic commerce as a boy, I love this movement. As for fast, easy and efficient to work with, the bandwidth.

While I am sure that there will still be a lot of calls to your call center starters, the fact that customers can check the availability of pricing and obtain without the need to speak with a representative is yet another example of by what bandwidth.

Article About Vulnerabilities on the Snom 320 SIP Phone

Here's an article that sums up the vulnerabilities with the SIP phone Snom 320. Many of the vulnerabilities have already been disclosed, but this paper summarizes them. Keep in mind that when it wrote the Hacking Exposed: VoIP book, he also discovered that could allow a packet capture the Snom 190 SIP phone, and then save or download the packet capture of the resulting file.

Review of My Top 10 Predictions for Last Year

Before making any bold predictions for the security of VoIP in 2008, I thought I should review my predictions last year. After reviewing my predictions, its clear that I should leave the prediction business. Of course, as did other manufacturers, which merely list a bunch of false problems which we hope will be a reality so that they can sell their products.

Moreover, while always find vulnerabilities with VoIP deployments, which are rarely found actual attacks (other than the above). However, they are always real attacks or misuse of the traditional networks, in the areas of poorly secured modems authorized and unauthorized use of modems for access dialup ISP. While VoIP systems are most vulnerable, the traditional issues are being exploited more frequently and the move to VoIP is not changing this.
