I tend not to publish advertisements of shows I attended, but the rumor around the Spring VON - VON now. X - is starting to build. As readers of my blog will know by now, I am only able to attend an event in the next 2 weeks, and the way the calendar falls, it will not be this one. I feel bad about that, so the next best thing is blogging about what lies ahead. There are two issues I want to draw attention to some of the fair.
They had a great chat, and you will not find a better way to get a preview of what to expect at VON. X, as well as that Jeff is at the latest, in thought and projects. Jeff is Jeff, and he is never still - if you do not know why, then you need to give it a listen! Sorry I will not be there, and after hearing this, I know I am going to be there to lose even more.
Both this week and next eComm VON Unconference are my kind of events. Fluid dialogue. New ideas and some of the brightest minds in the business. Will? VONCAMP, led by Thomas Howe, Carl Ford and Jeff Pulver, just add a second day. That should tell you that the interest and demand is there. Therefore, not a voyeur, be a participant.
A few weeks ago I published 11 reasons, the iPhone is the worst that I have owned mobile. I am not writing today to retract those statements. I still think the iPhone is the worst I have been using mobile since the early 2000's, but with the news that Apple is well with programmers released applications that leverage VoIP iPhone WiFi capabilities, which I hate only slightly less in the near future.
I hope that with the 27% of the North American smartphone market share, the iPhone will see numerous requests from VoIP very soon, which should prove an advantage for mobile service providers, VoIP. Here are a few of the company to wait to see the applications of VoIP iPhone: Truphone Mobivox Rebtel Skype WiFi access Vyke Yeigo Mobiboo MobiVoIP TeraSip JAJAH SightSpeed GizmoProject GoogleTalk AIM.
Stuart in his post yesterday, basically, what's new? I agree. In many ways, he is. Much of what we see these days is really what I will call "me too, me too, and not me Different" of many companies. That is why eComm should be very exciting. Many of the new businesses will actually be accomplished display NEW and DIFFERENT. Organizer Lee Dryburgh spent many months of work on this key point.
Just look at the number of product managers and EIR Adobe had in it and the number of new businesses have referred to Adobe and the little that happened. . . . And connect the dots You do not have to be a genius to discover Adobe is looking in other directions. For me, the real fun eComm is not known companies. It is the unknown companies that are on the scene, in the public and corridors that will make the conference the second coming of eTel.

We caught up with Jessica in Las Vegas where she partied with Eva Longoria and “Extra’s” own Mario Lopez to celebrate The Pussycat Dolls’ 2-year anniversary bash at Pure nightclub. While hanging’ with the dolls, Jessica showed off her new locks. “I’m happy to be a brunette because it kind of reflects who I am,” she said. Simpson has also been spending a lot of time with her rocker boyfriend John Mayer since divorcing Nick Lachey last June.
“There’s a lot of discovery,” Jessica said. “And that’s what’s so amazing and humbling about life — is that every day is a new discovery, whether it’s as simple as a hair color or a new friend in your life, a new person in your life.” As for turning to therapy to get through the tough times, Simpson told us, “I think that therapy is very healing. It’s hard for the world that you live in to let everyone around you in on everything that you’re going through, and for somebody who just really doesn’t know much about you, it’s much easier.”
“I’ve got to get my life together and become the woman that I’ve always wanted to be,” she added. “And just love life and love who I am.” After a long and very public year, Jessica seems to have everything under control. Added Jess, “I’m so blessed.”
Back in September Truphone client stole the press coverage at Demo 2007 with its demo at the scene of Truphone on iPhone. A few days later, Apple made another anti-piracy blocking iPhone OS making life more difficult for all players kind of VoIP. Yesterday Steve Jobs and the Cupertino crew took center stage and unveiled the SDK for iPhone and the world is awakening to the iPhone instead of being a good device for VoIP.
In essence the big gorilla dropping faster and farther if they do not find a way to embrace the idea of the Federation of Cuban Women and mobile VoIP to ensure payment of large corporate clients will not start in another place piece by piece . .
Jeff Pulver then reminded me that I must make it easier to be found in this mad month of March. Next week is eComm.
