The Polycom IP560: An IP Phone to Meet All Your Needs!

As a sales engineer, I am lucky that I get to the test, configure and use every new product that comes through VoIP Supply docks. Not only that, but I get to talk to dozens of customers every day and every specific product on the use and applications, and the proper settings and configurations in an open source, based on SIP environment. Recently, there has been a product that has caught my eye, and when something catches my eye, I have my hands "dirty" with some deep you.

An extensive list of features and support functions can be found here. Compared with existing phones that offers Gigabit Cisco, Polycom IP560 is quite cheap in retailing VoIPSupply. Com at $ 309. 99, which makes it very affordable high-end business class phone for all types of environments and applications. The Polycom phones have shown the highest interoperability with SIP-based platforms, and other users of the facility configuration and updates.

The Best Dual Mode Bang For Your Buck!

Kyle Brocious here. I am a technical support representative VoIP in the tender. My responsibilities are essential to listen to customer needs, specifications, and answer any questions about a particular product or solution in a post-sale. I started my career with VoIP Supply again in October 2007 as a strength of specialists and tests. This position allowed me to get a firm understanding of VoIP technology, product-specific applications and uses, and the proper settings and configurations in an open-sourc.

Some of the characteristics that I would point out is a 1. 8 inches 65k color display, text messaging, polyphonic ringtones, MMS support, a feature games and a WAP browser. Compared with existing phones that offer WiFi Linksys, Hitachi, and D-Link, the GF210 UTStarcom is pretty cheap, retailing at VoIPSupply. Com at $ 239. 99, which makes it very affordable class personal phone for all kinds of environments and applications.

The Internet’s Broken

I just read Fred Goldstein's last column today about what he called the "sad state of Internet governance. "Says Goldstein: The Internet is fundamentally broken, and it's getting worse. Throwing money and the Moore's Law has helped, but they can not go on forever. The deep dark secret of the Internet business model is finally coming home to the bedroom.

YouTube Poop - Broken Sword Further BrokenYouTube Poop - Broken Sword Further Broken
YouTube Poop (YTP) is one of my favorite things on the internet. It seems to consist of mostly random sectional clips from any source, repeated, sped up or slowed down, rearranged, mirrored and flipped, often randomly changing color and it is frequently humorous.

The YouTube Poop formula has been spread every which way and tried and tested and experimented with and changed and tinkered with, but to compare two different poops to one another like saying, “These are the same” and “these cannot be compared because they are too different” at the same time.

This particular poop starts with the “something happening for a set period of time” fad, with Nico walking down the stairs for two minutes. After that, its just random poop humor with a short YouTube Poop Music Video (YTPMV) at the end.

All Hotel Networks Are Not Created Equal

One of the things about hotel networks I’m learning is they are not always the same. I can be in a hotel with T-Mobile and a second WiFi provider and in the end, T-Mobile wins. For some reason the other networks usually block some port, do something with NAT, or make it impossible for WiFi to work as if I had a wire in the Ethernet port. Not T-Mobile. .

Fring Touting GPS Tracking IM Using Google Maps

I’m not so sure that using Fring is a good idea if you want any kind of privacy. While Fring’s privacy settings on the handset require enable you to switch the fringME! location feature on or off this whole idea of tracing someone’s movements is getting a little extreme. Since a lot of people pass phones around o show off their “toys” one moment you may be where you want to be, but don’t want anyone to know, and the next you will be tracked unknowingly when someone “configures” your phone.

In the end I wish these “tracking” technologies were like the 10 second beep when a call is being recorded. Let the user know its working when it starts and then every few minutes.

50 Open Source VoIP Applications You Must Know About

I stumbled upon this great piece of link-bait today and although their blog is basically one big piece of link-bait, I thought that they did an excellent job rounding up the top 50 open source VoIP applications. Although this is a pretty comprehensive list, the list did not include FreePBX which is great as a standalone, but also a major part of the trixbox distribution.

PCI Card Vendors Put Down Their Guns…

Even though they always seem to be nipping at one another’s heels, at a recent FreePBX. org open source telephony training session, representatives from Digium, Sangoma and Rhino Equipment put down their guns to pose for a picture (and educate participants on the benefits of open source telephony). Is there finally peace on planet Open Source? I’m doubtful.

What Good Are Subscribers If You Have No Revenues

For those of you who are regular followers, you might have noticed that I have not been posting much of late and that when I do it is usually thoughts about events that happened days or weeks before. Unfortunately, that is the nature of the beast when it comes to blogging as a secondary effort. I was catching up tonight with some industry news and I ran across this article about Jaxtr having 10 million subscribers, yet ZERO revenues.

Heck, even a donation button would result in something. If your service is not valuable enough that you can’t charge people to use it from the start…then why would you expect to anyone to pay for it once you have 10 million users? Unless you think that someone will buy it. But then again, who wants to buy a company whose customers don’t pay for their service? .

Where’s My Cell Phone - Find Your Misplaced Cell Phone Fast

photo credit: orbz Quote from the site: “Where’s my cell phone? I swear it was just right here…” Are the words often muttered as you frantically look for your cell phone only to find it hidden underneath a pile of laundry, in some obscure pocket, or in the car. We hope you find it eventually; why not find it NOW? Simply enter the lost phone number and listen for it to ring.

But that’s the point - sometimes another phone isn’t readily available, while a web connection is. If you travel with a laptop and a cell phone, your laptop could help you find that cell phone that you dropped behind the bed, or wherever. We haven’t tested this, so you may want to try it before relying on it.   Thanks to Tom Keating’s blog for the tip on this one.
